The Pritzker Prize, only the crème de la crème of architects qualify for this honor. The Nobel Prize for architects shows homage to an architect whose work has portrayed dedication, out of the box thinking and talent. Miami for years, has become a personal favorite of the Pritzker family, which currently owns the Hyatt Hotel, a hotel chain that is making investments in major new hotels here in South Florida.

Miami has never been unfamiliar with all that is extravagant. Flashy malls and nightclubs, celebrity spotting and of course, some of the world’s most coveted beaches have been a part of our international trademark for years. Now after more than 100 years, Miami is making a name for itself and being taken seriously for being a design hot-spot, something Hong Kong, Chicago and New York have long before mastered.

All this is and more is thanks to the world’s premier architects and eight former Pritzker Prize winners whom are helping convert neighborhoods such as Coconut Grove and Downtown from sub par Miami residential towns and morphing them into luxurious and futuristic cities; Revealing its true potential of what Miami is all about. With that said their names are worth mentioning; Gehry (designer of New World Center), Norman Foster (designer of Faena House), Richard Meier (designer of The Surf Club Miami), I. M. Pei (Designer of Miami Tower), Rem Koolhaas (Designer of Park Grove), (Renzo Piano Designed by Eighty Seven Park), and last but certainly not least, Zaha Hadid (Designer of 1000 Museum)…

All of the above mentioned architects have contributed to humanity and environmental safety through their art, and for that… we are truly thankful.
