Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove is a charming lush tropical village located just 10 minutes south of Brickell and Downtown Miami. This quiet, residential neighborhood is considered to be the oldest and most important settlement in Florida because if its location on the edge of Biscayne Bay.

From its beginnings in the late 1800′s, this heavily wooded area sitting on a coral reef bluff became the winter home to many artists and wealthy vacationers while the verdant landscape and serene bay front setting has been a haven of inspirations for such luminaries as Tennessee Williams, Robert Frost and Alexander Graham Bell. Now Coconut Grove is one of the most desirable areas in all of Miami.

The once bohemian village is now a very secluded upscale neighbourhood with luxury waterfront and ocean view condominiums and single family homes on Bayshore Drive across from Dinner Key marina. Among the most popular condos are Grovenor House, Ritz-Carlton, and Residences at Vizcaya.

At the heart of Coconut Grove is CocoWalk, an upscale commercial area with open-air shopping, dining and entertainment options. The Streets of Mayfair strolling zone also features some of the most renowned names in retailing. Home of the annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival - one of the largest art festivals in the nation, The Grove is also a center for the arts in Miami and boasts a vibrant nightlife.
